The Princess of Wales is ending summer with a new look. This pre-fall time is the perfect moment to switch up your hair, even in small ways that make a big impact. It looks like Kate Middleton did just that with a new haircut she wore two different ways over the past few days.

We first got a peek at her new look at the Rugby World Cup 2023 Group Stage match between England and Argentina in Marseille, France. We spotted Princess Kate’s face-framing layers and subtle curtain bangs when she was talking to Sir Bill Beaumont CBE, Chairperson of World Rugby. When she’s turned to the side, you can see the layers and maybe a new darker color, too?

Her hair is a bit straighter here on September 9, which makes it easier to see the new look. She changed it up a few days later on September 12 when she visited HMP High Down in Sutton, England.

The Patron of The Forward Trust visited the prison to learn about how the charity is supporting those in the criminal justice system to manage and recover from their addictions. She wore her new layered hair in big barrel curls, which somehow made it look even longer. The layers are more blended together here but the look really is stunning.

According to People, the prison told Princess Kate about its three programs provided to people with addiction, including workshops that are focused on restoring communication and trust between the addict/prisoner and their loved ones. Kate started working with addiction-related charities when she married Prince William in 2011 and has continued to champion mental health awareness. Addiction Awareness Week in the UK runs from October 28 to November 4.
